Weeklong session: Monday – Thursday (Friday rain-date)
Youth Sailing is our most popular course and is for kids ages 9-15. Taught by a US Sailing certified instructor, participants will learn the basics of sailing, boat handling, and knots- all on beautiful Lake Wentworth.
Small class sizes allow for students of varying abilities to receive individual instruction. Beginner students use Optimist Sailing Dinghies and move on to Sunfish as they progress. Boats and program support are provided by the NH Boat Museum.
You can choose one of three class levels: beginner, intermediate, or advanced.
To take the class, students must pass a swimming test. If you want to take the intermediate or advanced class, you must have previous sailing experience. On the first day of class, you will be tested to make sure you’re in the right level class.
